• Business definition and purpose.
• Calculation logic and grain.
• Source systems and refresh timing.
• Owner, steward, and approval authority.
• Valid dimensions, exclusions, and exceptions.

Operationalize the standard

Implement approved KPIs in governed semantic models, certify them for reuse, and manage changes through a transparent process. Governance succeeds when it makes the correct path easier than creating another local definition.
